2015 Research Scholarship for International Students, The School of Biomedical Sciences at The University of Queensland is offering 2 scholarships at the Australian Postgraduate Award stipend rate (currently $25 849 per annum tax free) for the duration of three years with a possible extension of 6 months in approved circumstances. Exceptional candidates will also be provided with a top-up to bring the total value of the scholarship to $30 000 per annum. The last date of submission of application is 22 June 2015.

Study Subject: Scholarship is awarded within the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Research strengths include cell and developmental biology; cell physiology; functional anatomy; molecular pharmacology; and neuroscience. Our interests encompass animal behaviour; the biology of disease; drug development; marine science; neural regeneration; neuropathology; and pedagogical studies.
Degree Level: Scholarship is available to pursue research programme.
Eligibility: Exceptional graduate students with a high level (H1) Honours degree (or equivalent) in Biochemistry or Molecular Biology, Developmental Biology, Cellular Physiology or a related discipline are encouraged to apply. Prior experience or a working knowledge of mass spectrometry, mammalian cell culture or confocal imaging is desirable but not essential. The scholarship is open to Australian and New Zealand citizens, permanent residents and international students and is funded at the rate of the Australian Postgraduate award. English language proficiency requirements will also apply to international applicants.
