50 Government of Singapore Training Fellowships for African Civil Aviation Commission Member States in Singapore, 2017-2018

Applications are invited for up to 50 Fellowships for African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) Member States for the 2017/2018 academic year under the framework of the subsisting MoU between the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC), the government of Singapore.

The Commission aims to improve and strengthen co-operation on the basis of the historical ties and understanding between the people of Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. In this regard, the countries emphasize co-operation in the priority areas of transport and communication, trade and industry, security, immigration and the promotion of investment in the region.

Degree Level: Fellowships are available to pursue training programme.

  • Emergency Management Workshop: 10 – 14 July 2017
  • Safety Oversight Inspectors (Air Navigation Services) Course: 24 – 28 July 2017
  • Methodology and Best Practices for Aviation System Block Upgrades (ASBU) Implementation Course: 14 – 18 August 2017
  • Aviation Security Management Programme: 21 – 24 August 2017
  • Safety Oversight Inspectors (Aerodromes) Course: 21 – 25 August 2017
  • Safety Audits of Air Traffic Services Course: 4 – 8 Sep 2017 24 July 2017
  • State Safety Programme Implementation Course*: 30 Oct – 3 November 2017
  • Air Traffic Management Safety Investigation and Analysis Course: 30 Oct – 3 November 2017
  • Civil Aviation Management Programme: 30 Oct – 10 November 2017
  • Safety Oversight Inspectors (Flight Operations) Course: 22 Jan – 2 February 2018

Scholarship Benefits: The Government of Singapore will bear the training fees, daily allowance of Sixty Singapore Dollars (S$60) and hotel accommodation for participants accepted for the programmes. Complimentary breakfast will be provided at the hotel and lunch at SAA during training days.

Number of Scholarships: 50 fellowships will be awarded.

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for scholarship:

  • Applicants from the AFCAC Member States are eligible to apply for these fellowships.
  • The fifty (50) fellowships have been provided to cover the ten (10) training courses to be held at the Singapore Aviation Academy.

Eligible Nationality:Applicants from the AFCAC Member States are eligible to apply for these fellowships.
