ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences offers Honours Scholarships  at Australian National University for pursuing a program of study  leading to the award of a Bachelor of Arts degree or in a combined degree  program leading to two degrees (one of which will lead to the award of a  Bachelor of Arts degree). A person who is an Australian or New Zealand  citizen, holds Permanent Residence Status in Australia or is an  international student shall be eligible to apply. 10 scholarships are  offered for one year. The application deadline is 30th  November each year.

Eligibility: A person shall be eligible to apply who is  an Australian or New Zealand citizen, holds Permanent Residence Status in  Australia or is an international student and either: -is currently enrolled  or has been enrolled at this University or another university in a program  of study leading to the award of a degree of Bachelor; or -is currently  enrolled or has been enrolled at this University or another university in  a combined program leading to two degrees, one of which will lead to the  award of the degree of Bachelor with honours.

Scholarship Description: This scholarship is offered by  the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences. There shall be a number of  scholarships for award each year which shall be known as the ANU College of  Arts and Social Sciences Honours Scholarships. The annual value of the  scholarship will be as set out in a formal letter of offer, and will be paid  in two equal instalments, one at the beginning of the first semester of  study, and the other at the beginning of the second semester of study

Number of award(s): 10 scholarships are  offered.

Duration of award(s): The scholarships are for  one year, payable from the date on which the course is taken up  in Canberra. Scholarship instalments will be made at the beginning of each  semester of the Honours year.

What does it cover? –Total offer is of Up  to $5,000. -The annual value of the scholarship will be as set out in a  formal letter of offer, and will be paid in two equal instalments, one at  the beginning of the first semester of study, and the other at  the beginning of the second semester of study

Selection criteria: The scholarships will be awarded  on- -Academic merit -Consideration may also be given to the field of  study -Availability of appropriate supervision -Reports from 2 academic  referees familiar with the applicant’s work.
