TAFE NSW’s Bachelor of 3D Art and Animation HE20620 helps you develop creative and technical skills for 3D art, animation, and visual effects. You study art, animation, and production, with learning outcomes that include creating 3D art, designing animations, meeting client briefs, and working with others across the production pipeline. You also research, analyse, and share ideas with clients and teams.

The course uses a mixture of theory and practical course work. At the start of your course, you receive your timetable, and you study all core units plus additional units. Core units cover areas such as Screen and Story, Animation, 3D Modelling, 3D Artistry, Cameras and Lighting, Visual Arts, 3D Texturing and Shading, 3D Production Studio, 3D Rendering and Lighting, Digital Compositing, 3D Rigging, and Programming for VFX. You also complete specialty units such as 3D Animation, 3D Asset Creation, 3D Look Development, Technical Art, and VFX Compositing.
