The Bachelor of Business at TAFE NSW prepares you for roles across finance, human resources, management consulting, hospitality and hotels, and technology information systems. You study business theory and practice across management, economics, finance, marketing, communications technologies, business statistics, law, and people management. You can choose to specialise in marketing, management, or hospitality and hotel management.

Learning combines theory and practical course work. For a marketing or management specialisation, you choose four relevant electives in your second year and four in your third year that match your specialisation. For hospitality and hotel management, you enter the bachelor program having completed a Diploma of Hospitality Management, and you complete a minimum 300 hours of work placement. Across the course, you also complete industry internships/placements.

This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol.

• You must demonstrate that you have achieved one of the following: A NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) with Year 12 maths, or its equivalent as evidenced by a certified copy of your certificate or transcript or A Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation or its equivalent as evidenced by a certified copy of your certificate or transcript or A completed certificate IV or higher vocational qualification as evidenced by a certified copy of your certificate or transcript
• If you cannot satisfy the above entry requirements, you may be eligible for entry under our mature age and disadvantage entry provisions.
• You must also: Attend a pre-admission interview where you may also be asked to complete a short literacy and numeracy task - this helps us to understand how we can support your study success and provide you with any necessary support
• Note: Your certificates, transcripts and other entry requirement evidence must be certified through a Justice of the Peace or other authorising officer

To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have: A keen interest in business An interest in managing people and organisations A driven and goal-oriented attitude A PC or laptop to access study materials and complete your assessments For hospitality and hotel management students, a completed Diploma of Hospitality Management, and a desire to work in managerial roles within the hotel and resort sector

You do not require an ATAR score for entry into this course. If you are unable to meet the entry requirements, you may be eligible for special admission.
