Diploma of Aeroskills Avionics Mea50118

TAFE NSW’s Diploma of Aeroskills (Avionics) MEA50118-01 develops advanced avionics skills and supervisory capability. Students learn to manage an avionic workshop environment, troubleshoot advanced avionic issues, plan and implement avionic activities, calculate weight and balance, and work safely and sustainably.

The qualification is nationally accredited at diploma level. TAFE NSW teaches it through a mixture of theory and practical course work, with core and specialty units. Students complete 34 units of competency, including 31 core and 3 specialty units. Graduates are eligible to apply for a Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence.

This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol.

To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have successfully completed the Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics) a genuine interest in the aviation industry and aircraft maintenance strong spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination reading, writing and maths skills at Year 10 high school level.
