Diploma of Agriculture Ahc50122

TAFE NSW offers the Diploma of Agriculture (AHC50122-01) to prepare you for various management jobs in the agriculture industry. The course develops your understanding of changing trends in agriculture and builds your ability to develop advanced management plans tailored to each farm you work on.

The Diploma of Agriculture uses a mixture of theory and practical course work. You learn through course workshops that demonstrate your skills in a practical setting, and you complete 10 units of competency, including 2 core units and 8 specialty units.

The Diploma of Agriculture is designed as nationally accredited training at diploma level and provides credit towards a university degree. It can lead to roles such as farm production manager, production unit manager, pastoral operations manager, station/property manager, and agribusiness manager.

This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol.

• Successful completion of the Certificate III in Agriculture or equivalent qualification as evidenced by a copy of your transcript or certificate AND/OR
• 2 years of experience working in farming and agriculture, as evidenced by your resume, a cover letter outlining your experience and a letter from an employer or supervisor

Before enrolling you must complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills test and demonstrate a performance level of 5 for learning, 4 for reading, writing, oral communication and numeracy, and 3 for digital literacy. This helps us to determine that your skills match the demands of the course, to direct you to an alternative study option or to provide you with the appropriate support for your success.
