Diploma of Civil Construction Design Rii60520

TAFE NSW offers the Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design RII60520. The course prepares students for civil construction projects and workforces by mimicking real world civil construction responsibilities. Students learn to perform broad, specialised, complex, and technical tasks, including responsibility for the design of complex projects. Students also develop self-directed application of theoretical and technical knowledge, including initiating solutions to technical problems and responding to management or client requirements.

The Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design uses a mix of theory and practical coursework. Students learn to lead and manage team effectiveness, manage the civil works design process, establish and maintain a quality system, manage program risk, and advise on safe design principles to control WHS risk. The course includes core units and packaged specialty units, with a total of 12 units: 5 core units and 7 elective units with specific grouping rules.
