Diploma of Community Services Chc52025

The Diploma of Community Services (CHC52025) at TAFE NSW supports people experiencing hardship and builds skills for community services work. Students develop leadership capability and learn case work and management skills through theory and practical coursework, including topics such as service programs, crisis response, case management, and workplace communication.

The course is made up of core and specialty units, with students completing 20 units of competency: 12 core and 8 specialty units. Students complete a minimum of 100 hours work placement with a suitable industry employer. Completion requires evidence such as a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a National Police Check, plus any placement provider requirements.

This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol.

Completion requires evidence provided to your teacher during your study: a Working with Children Check (WWCC); a National Police Check; any additional evidence your work placement provider may require, such as a first aid certificate, National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) worker screening clearance or vaccination and health screenings.
