Diploma of Conservation and Ecosystem Management Ahc51120

The Diploma of Conservation and Ecosystem Management (AHC51120-01) at TAFE NSW teaches you how to contribute to a sustainable future through conservation and ecosystem management. You develop plans and research solutions for ecological restorations and build skills to design and develop plans for Indigenous land management, soil, river and natural area restoration, plus support local ecosystems through practical work.

Learning includes a mixture of theory and practical course work. You also complete land management mapping and develop a plan to re-vegetate your project site. The course outcomes include conducting pest management and prescribed burning, reporting and writing tenders and other business documentation, and reporting data from sites on pests and disease control.

During your study you'll need to provide your teacher with a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills test and achieve a score of Level 4 across the three bands of learning, reading and oral communication, Level 3 across two bands of writing and numeracy and Level 2 for digital literacy.
