Diploma of Conservation and Ecosystem Management Ahc51120cm

TAFE NSW’s Diploma of Conservation and Ecosystem Management (AHC51120CM) equips graduates with knowledge to contribute to the creation of sustainable landscapes. Students develop plans and research solutions for ecological restorations using knowledge of natural systems. The course includes work on Indigenous land management, pest management and prescribed burning, and the use of reporting, mapping and tender-writing skills.

The qualification requires competency in 10 units of competency: 0 core units plus 10 elective units. TAFE NSW provides a timetable at the start of the course, with students studying all core units and additional units. The course includes frequent field classes held at various sites away from the main campus, and students organise their own transport to and from field sites.

This qualification supports preparation for roles such as Environmental Officer, National Park Ranger, Biodiversity Conservation Manager, Indigenous Land Manager, and more.
