Diploma of Electrical Engineering Uee50420

The Diploma of Electrical Engineering (UEE50420-01) at TAFE NSW trains you in electrotechnology engineering work. You learn to write specifications for electrotechnology engineering projects, produce detailed reports for the energy sector, develop strategies to address environmental sustainability issues in the energy sector, and implement and monitor energy sector work, health and safety policies and procedures.

TAFE NSW delivers the diploma through a mixture of theory and practical course work. The qualification requires you to complete 760 weighting points, including 160 core and 600 speciality units. The course includes core units such as energy sector reporting and WHS procedures, plus specialty units covering topics like electrical design, maintenance, control systems, and energy efficiency.

This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol.

• Successful competition of the Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30820) as evidenced by your transcript or certificate, or
• That you hold a current 'Unrestricted Electricians Licence' or its equivalent issued in an Australian state or territory, as evidenced by a copy of this licence

• Technical officer (electrical engineering)
