TAFE NSW’s Diploma of Fashion (Higher Education Diploma) builds a broad understanding of the fashion industry, from textiles to design and illustration, and through to fashion branding and marketing. Students also develop foundational skills for work in a design context or a fashion business environment.

The course uses a mixture of theory and practical course work. Students complete learning through creative design and business practices, and by developing skills to research, analyse, and propose fashion design and business ideas using appropriate methodologies and technologies.

This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol.

You must demonstrate that you have achieved one of the following:

• A NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) or its equivalent or
• A Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation or its equivalent or
• A completed certificate IV or higher vocational qualification
• Completion of at least one-year full-time study or equivalent in a degree course at a higher education institution

You must also:

• Submit a 300-word statement outlining your motivation and interest in studying the Diploma of Fashion. This will help us assess and understand your suitability for entry into this course.

Note: Your certificates, transcripts and other entry requirement evidence must be certified through a Justice of the Peace or other authorising officer
