Diploma of Horticulture Management Ahc50422

TAFE NSW’s Diploma of Horticulture Management (AHC50422) prepares you for horticulture management roles. Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, you learn to assess, plan and manage sites for horticulture development, develop policies and procedures for environmental management and workplace safety, and specify, classify, identify and select plants. You also learn to manage horticultural staff and write and present reports.

The qualification is nationally accredited at Diploma level and requires successful completion of 10 units of competency, including 3 core and 7 specialty units. TAFE NSW packages specialty units to customise the qualification. The course also supports pathways toward registered horticulturist status with the Australian Institute of Horticulture.

This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol.

• A minimum of 3 years of appropriate work experience in the horticulture industry, as evidenced by your current resume, or
• Successful completion of the following units of competency or equivalent, as evidenced by a copy of your transcript or certificate: AHCCHM304 Transport and store chemicals; AHCCHM307 Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and diseases; AHCPCM308 Identify and select plants; AHCPMG301 Control weeds; AHCPMG302 Control plant pests, diseases and disorders; AHCSOL304 Implement soil improvements for garden and turf areas; AHCWHS302 Contribute to workplace health and safety processes
