Diploma of Information Technology Advanced Programming Ict50220

TAFE NSW’s Diploma of Information Technology (Advanced Programming) (ICT50220-04) helps students strengthen programming skills and build toward roles as a software or.NET developer. The course learning outcomes include leading and facilitating a team, developing applications or software, managing data, and designing databases, as well as managing client problems.

The qualification requires successful completion of 20 units of competency, including 6 core and 14 specialty units. TAFE NSW states that students learn through “a mixture of theory and practical course work.” The course also notes potential credit towards the Advanced Diploma of Information Technology.

This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol.

• That you have achieved a Certificate IV in Information Technology as evidenced by a copy of your certificate or transcript, OR
• That you have recent or current work experience in the Information Technology programming field as evidenced by a letter of support from your employer or your resume

Note: Before your first day of class you must complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills test and achieve a score of 4 across the five bands of literacy and 4 across one band of numeracy.
