TAFE NSW offers the Diploma of Information Technology (Back End Web Development) & (Front End Web Development). Students build skills in front end and back end web development and improve their ability to resolve client problems. Learning outcomes include leading and facilitating a team, building webpages and websites, implementing quality assurance processes, developing website information architecture, and managing client problems.

The qualification includes a combination of core and specialty units. Students complete 20 units of competency: 6 core and 14 specialty units. Specialty units are packaged by TAFE NSW and not all specialty units are offered at every campus location.

This course is for learners who have evidence of previous experience or study before enrolment, and who complete the required entry and completion evidence during study. TAFE NSW states it prepares graduates for opportunities in their chosen field, including roles such as Database and Systems Administrators and ICT Security Specialists.

This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol.

• That you have achieved a Year 12 high school certificate or an equivalent as evidenced by a copy of your certificate or
• That you have achieved a Certificate IV in Information Technology as evidenced by a copy of your certificate or transcript or
• That you have recent or current work experience in Information Technology as evidenced by a letter of support from your employer or your resume or
• That you have completed a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills test with scores of 4 in Learning, 4 in Reading, 4 in Writing, 4 in Numeracy, 4 in Oral Communication and 4 in Digital Literacy as evidenced by a copy of your test results
