The Diploma of Interior Design MSF50222 at TAFE NSW prepares you for interior design work by covering tasks such as establishing, negotiating and refining a design brief. You also study design lighting for residential interiors, producing digital models and documentation, and designing colour schemes for interior and exterior spaces. You will evaluate site structures and services and apply creative design methods with supporting product documentation.

TAFE NSW delivers the course through a mix of theory and practical coursework over 1 year. You complete 10 core units and 17 elective units, selected from packaged specialty units and additional units. Your practical work includes creating 3D models, working with interior lighting, trialling colour in various contexts, experimenting with different textures and surfaces, and producing professional presentations.
