TAFE NSW’s Diploma of Music (Performance) CUA50825P is a nationally accredited diploma designed to help you build confidence and experience as a performer, recording artist, or session musician. The course covers performance, composition, collaboration in bands, and music technology skills through core units such as Manage copyright arrangements, Provide freelance services, Enhance professional practice using creative arts industry knowledge, and Develop and implement own self.

You study core units plus specialty units packaged by TAFE NSW. The structure includes 4 core units and 12 elective (specialty) units. The course includes experience creating and recording music in rehearsal or recording studios and aims to develop confidence to perform live. Core and specialty study also includes activities such as composing, preparing works for publishing and performance, stagecraft, interactive technology in performances, and performing music as a soloist or as part of a backup group.
