TAFE NSW’s Diploma of Music (Sound Production) prepares you to work in the entertainment industry as an assistant sound engineer or sound designer. You learn and apply theoretical knowledge and technical and managerial skills to plan, carry out and evaluate sound production work, and you develop music knowledge and artistic judgment.

You refine music production software skills and create original music, beats, toplines and remixes. The program also includes synthesis, pitch shifting, time warping, filters and effects. You study 4 core units plus 12 elective units, supported by rehearsal spaces, recording studios, specialty music computer labs, and audio and recording equipment.
