TAFE NSW’s Diploma of Practice Management HLT57715-01 helps you facilitate the smooth-running of a health facility. You study health billing and accounting systems, staff performance, budgets and finance plans, legal and ethical compliance, and risk management and work health and safety (WHS) requirements. You also develop skills to respond to client questions and concerns and to delegate tasks across a range of staff.

Learning is delivered through a mixture of theory and practical course work. The qualification requires you to complete 15 units of competency, including 10 core units and 5 specialty units. You manage learning tasks independently and provide teacher evidence during your study, including a Working with Children Check (WWCC), a National Police Check, and vaccination and health screenings. Completion requirements focus on these checks and screenings.
