Diploma of Public Safety Emergency Management Pua60120

TAFE NSW offers the Advanced Diploma of Public Safety (Emergency Management) (PUA60120-01). Students develop skills to facilitate emergency risk assessment and planning processes, design emergency management exercises, and manage recovery functions and services and projects. The course also covers media and communication requirements around major incidents and managing and controlling a Level 3 incident.

TAFE NSW describes delivery as a blend of online and face-to-face learning. Students complete 15 units of competency, including 10 core and 5 speciality units. Learning outcomes are built through a mixture of theory and practical course work.

TAFE NSW states the qualification is nationally accredited and prepares graduates for roles including emergency services manager, emergency services station manager, and media and communications officer.
