The Diploma of Travel and Tourism Management (SIT50122) at TAFE NSW is designed to pair students’ interest in travel and tourism with professional skills for travel agency manager, tour operations manager, or manager roles in a travel and tourism environment. Students learn to coordinate, develop and market travel and tourism products for clients, with units focused on leadership, operations, customer service, financial information, and work health and safety.

TAFE NSW delivers the program through a mix of theory and practical coursework. Students receive a timetable at the start of the course and complete all core units plus additional units. The qualification includes 13 core units and 10 elective units. Students also gain practical experience in booking domestic and international travel itineraries, working with people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds, advancing sale techniques, managing financial transactions, and showcasing customer service.
