Diploma of Youth Work Chc50425

The Diploma of Youth Work (CHC50425-01) at TAFE NSW builds skills to support young people through challenges. You learn to manage responsibilities in the youth work sector, communicate and engage respectfully with young people, provide services including out-of-home care, work with diverse young people, identify and respond to critical situations, and assist young people to make positive choices.

TAFE NSW delivers the qualification through a mixture of theory and practical course work. To complete the diploma, you must successfully complete 21 units of competency, including 16 core and 5 specialty units, and you complete work placement to gain industry experience.

During study, TAFE NSW requires evidence from learners, including a Working with Children Check (WWCC), a National Police Check (NPC), NDIS Worker Screening Check as required, vaccination and health screenings as required, and any additional evidence your work placement provider requires such as a driving record.
