Australia Western Sydney University International Scholarships – Undergraduate

Western Sydney International Scholarships – Undergraduate provide a contribution towards tuition fees. The scholarship is granted on academic merit in a completed Year 12 qualification or equivalent recognised by Western Sydney University for admission.

The scholarship is aimed at applicants who are international students (not Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens, or permanent residents of Australia) and who apply for a CRICOS registered undergraduate degree program. It excludes study abroad or exchange students, students already enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at Western Sydney University, and programs located at the Sydney City campus.

No application is necessary. All new coursework applications for admission are automatically considered for a scholarship; if eligibility criteria are met, the scholarship offer is outlined in the Offer of Admission letter. Scholarships are granted on a first-come-first-served basis until filled, and ongoing eligibility requirements apply for scholarship types awarded for the CRICOS registered duration.

For the scholarship contribution types stated as “per year contribution towards tuition fees,” support is available up to 240 credit points or three years maximum, and the scholarship is a tuition fee waiver that does not cover living expenses, accommodation, transport, overseas student health cover, or other costs. The scholarship may discontinue if visa status changes during the study period to one of the listed non-eligible statuses.

• Scholarships are granted on academic merit in a completed Year 12 qualification or equivalent recognised by Western Sydney University for admission.
• Applicants must be an international student and not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia.
• If visa status changes to one of these during the study period, the scholarship will discontinue.
• Commence a new program of study for the first time in the session and year indicated for eligibility for either the $3,000 or $6,000 scholarship, or either the $5,000 or $10,000 scholarship.
• Be applying to study in a CRICOS registered undergraduate degree program.
• Satisfy the academic eligibility requirements for either the $10,000, $6,000, $5,000 or $3,000 multi-year scholarship.
• Satisfy all other admission requirements and accept their Offer of Admission letter.
• Applicants are not eligible if they are a citizen of Australia or New Zealand, or hold permanent residency in Australia.
• Applicants are not eligible if they are a study abroad or an exchange student coming to the University.
• Applicants are not eligible if they are currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at Western Sydney University.
• Applicants are not eligible if they do not commence study in the session and year indicated in their offer (commencement may not be deferred).
• Applicants are not eligible if they are granted more than 160 credit points in advanced standing. Note: in the event of advanced standing, the scholarship applies to the reduced duration of the program and will not exceed the annual value of the scholarship in any one year of full-time study.
• Applicants are not eligible if they study less than 80 credit points to complete the program.
• Applicants are not eligible if they are applying to study a program located at Sydney City campus.
• Applicants are not eligible if they have been awarded another scholarship by the University or another organisation that covers the cost of the tuition fees (fully or partially) to study at Western Sydney University.

• $6,000 per year contribution towards tuition fees, up to 240 credit points or three years maximum, dependent on academic achievement in previous studies (available to all CRICOS registered undergraduate degrees excluding Bachelor of Clinical Science (Medicine)/Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Nursing).
• $3,000 per year contribution towards tuition fees, up to 240 credit points or three years maximum (available to all CRICOS registered undergraduate degrees excluding Bachelor of Clinical Science (Medicine)/Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Nursing; Bachelor of Nursing applicants are eligible to receive the $3,000 contribution based on academic merit).
• $10,000 per year for the CRICOS registered duration of the principal program, subject to ongoing scholarship eligibility requirements (available to all CRICOS registered undergraduate degrees excluding Bachelor of Clinical Science (Medicine)/Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Nursing).
• $5,000 per year for the CRICOS registered duration of the principal program, subject to ongoing scholarship eligibility requirements (available to all CRICOS registered undergraduate degrees excluding Bachelor of Clinical Science (Medicine)/Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Nursing; Bachelor of Nursing applicants are still eligible to receive the $5,000 contribution based on academic merit).
• The scholarship is a tuition fee waiver and does not cover costs associated with living expenses, accommodation, transport, overseas student health cover or other costs associated with study.
