Bond University ADCO Sports Excellence Scholarship

Bond University offers the ADCO Sports Excellence Scholarship, which awards full-fee sporting scholarships to outstanding sports men and women from around Australia with the chance to help fund tertiary studies. Bond University describes the scholarship as recognising applicants with high achievements in sport.

The scholarship is aimed at Australian students applying for a single undergraduate degree or a single postgraduate degree. Bond University lists exclusions for specific programs: Bond Medical Program, Master of Psychology (Clinical) and Master of Professional Psychology, and Doctor of Physiotherapy. For a Bachelor of Laws, Bond University states the scholarship applies for a maximum of 6 semesters.

Bond University states eligibility criteria including outstanding and current involvement in a chosen sport (preference given to Olympic sports) and strong leadership capabilities, along with meeting prerequisites and admissions requirements for the chosen degree. Bond University also requires a scholarship application submitted before the application closing date, and notes late scholarship applications will not be considered.

Bond University states that as an ADCO Sports Excellence Scholar, the scholar receives 100% tuition remission for a single undergraduate degree or a single postgraduate degree and commences in the following January semester. For undergraduate recipients, Bond University also provides a living allowance of $10,000 per year, pro rata for part-time students, to a maximum of $20,000, intended for specified study and sport-related expenses. Bond University lists ongoing obligations including sport representation where reasonably possible, participation in annual Blues Awards, ongoing updates on sporting achievements, promotion during relevant activities, semester-based academic and sporting progress updates, and applying to become a member of Bond's Elite Sport Program (BESP) and meeting with the BESP Manager during each semester of study.

• Not eligible for the following programs: Bond Medical Program; Master of Psychology (Clinical); Master of Professional Psychology; Doctor of Physiotherapy.

• 100% tuition remission for any, single undergraduate degree.
• 100% tuition remission for any, single postgraduate degree.
• For undergraduate applicants: living allowance of $10,000 per year, pro rata for part-time students, to a maximum of $20,000.
• Cash bursary may be used as you wish, but is intended to be spent on accommodation, food, sporting equipment, participation in sporting events and training, Student Services and Amenities Fee and textbooks.

1. If you meet the eligibility criteria, complete the Bond University Study Application Form to lodge your application for your chosen program.
2. Complete the Bond University Scholarship Application Form using the same log-in details as used for your study application, and enter 'scholarship' in the keyword field on the Start an Application tab.
3. Submit your scholarship application before the application closing date; Bond University states no late scholarship applications will be considered.
4. Bond University states you can apply for more than one scholarship using the one scholarship application form, and you will only be considered for scholarships you applied for.

• Evidence of your leadership, initiative, and service to your school and/or community, presented using the Summary of Achievements template (all sections completed) and uploaded as one Word or PDF document. Bond University states your application cannot be considered if the evidence is provided in any other form such as a personal CV or resume.
• A detailed sport CV highlighting all sporting achievements.
• A personal statement that reflects on your application for the ADCO Sports Excellence Scholarship (maximum 500 words).
• At least two relevant references from individuals who can support sporting achievements, uploaded as one Word or PDF document.
• A school reference, with your career advisor's details provided as part of your application so Bond University can follow up to request a reference.
