Griffith University Australia Research Fellowship in Material Sciences (Salary Up to $118,585)

Griffith University offers a Research Fellow in Materials Science position. The role supports research within the Surfaces, Materials and Catalysis research group, focused on the development, characterisation and evaluation of catalysts for the development of electrocatalysts as part of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Green Electrochemical Transformation of Carbon Dioxide.

The appointment is aimed at candidates with a PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science, and it is described as fixed term and primarily based at the Griffith University Gold Coast campus, with potential requirements to work across other campus locations.

• Degree level: PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science.
• Experience: demonstrated experience in the application of advanced spectroscopies and/or electron microscopies for dynamic studies of the physicochemical properties of inorganic nanoparticles and porous solids in the liquid or gas phase.
• Experience: experience in the design, construction and use of reaction cells for in-situ or operando measurements of liquid or gas phase catalysis using electron microscopy or synchrotron radiation.
• Experience: computational methods experience (e.g. DFT, molecular dynamics, or Monte-Carlo simulations) or transport processes (e.g. CFD) is desired, not essential.
