1. Before applying, check your eligibility for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Master of Philosophy.
2. Identify a supervisor in your field with expertise relevant to your proposed project.
3. Prepare your documentation.
4. Submit an expression of interest (EOI) for your preferred program; you do not need to apply separately for this scholarship.
5. In the EOI, complete the 'Scholarship/Sponsorship' section with the required details (including that you are not applying for an advertised project and that you are not applying for or have not been awarded a non-UQ scholarship or sponsorship).
6. If you are a domestic student, select whether you would like to be considered for a living stipend scholarship in addition to a tuition fee scholarship.
7. If your EOI is supported by your nominated supervisor, you will be asked to submit a final application.
8. If you are a currently enrolled HDR candidate, apply via the scholarship round dates using the online application form and provide: details of your candidature, details of your Principal Advisor, your current CV, and two referees.
