International Plant Nutrition Institute offers science award for international students. Awards are available for pursuing graduate degree (M.S. or PhD) at a degree-granting institution located in any country. The recipient receives a plaque and a monetary award of US$5,000.00 (five thousand dollars). Private or public sector agronomists, crop scientists, soil scientists, and food scientists from all countries are eligible for nomination. The deadline for submission of nominations is September 30, 2014.

  • The Award recognizes outstanding achievements in research, extension, or education which focus on efficient and effective management of plant nutrients and their positive interaction in fully integrated crop production, enhancing yield potential, and/or improving crop quality.
  • Award is granted to PhD scientists for research program.
  •  International Plant Nutrition Institute is providing this Award.
  • Scholarship can be taken at: Africa, Australia/New Zealand, Brazil, China, Eastern Europe/Central Asia and Middle East, Latin America-Southern Cone, Mexico and Central America, Northern Latin America, North America (Canada and U.S.A.), South Asia, and Southeast Asia.

Eligibility: Private or public sector agronomists, crop scientists, soil scientists, and food scientists from all countries are eligible for nomination.

  • Citizens of any country can apply for the scholar award.
  • The IPNI Science Award was established by the IPNI Board of Directors in 2006. Its purpose is to recognize and promote distinguished contributions by scientists involved with global ecological intensification as related to crop production. Ecological intensification is defined as the development of high-yield crop production systems that protect soil and environmental quality and conserve natural resources. Characteristics of ecological intensification include yields achieving near potential top levels, high efficiency of nutrient use, and appropriate management of soil nutrient stocks and organic matter. The Award is to be presented each year to one agronomic scientist. The recipient receives a plaque and a monetary award of US$5,000.00 (five thousand dollars). There must be a minimum of three nominations for the award to be issued. A recipient is not eligible to receive the Award more than once.
  • Scholarship will be awarded to one agronomic scientist. There must be a minimum of three nominations for the award to be issued.
  • The Award is to be presented each year to one agronomic scientist.
  • The recipient receives a plaque and a monetary award of US$5,000.00 (five thousand dollars).
  • A committee of noted international authorities will select the recipient of the Award on an annual basis.
  • Recipients of the award will be announced on December 1, 2014.
  • All applications should be submitted by post.

 The deadline for submission of nominations is Sept. 30, 2014.
