Azerbaijan Medical University: the applicant's brief

6 findings
  1. The short answer

Azerbaijan Medical University is a public medical school in Baku, Azerbaijan. It suits students who want to study medicine at a public university and are prepared to confirm programme, language, and admission details directly with the university.

  2. What you can study

Azerbaijan Medical University is a medical school, so it is the place to look for medical study. The programme catalogue is still being compiled, so confirm the exact degrees, specialisations, and teaching language on the official website before applying.

  3. Getting in

International applicants should check the university’s official website for the current application route, required documents, deadlines, and any language or entrance requirements. The university’s website should also be used to confirm how foreign qualifications are assessed and whether there are separate steps for visa or enrolment.

  4. What it costs

The university does not publish a tuition fee range for international students; confirm the current fee with its admissions office. Living costs in Baku will still need to be budgeted separately, including accommodation, food, transport, and health insurance.

  5. Coming from abroad

The language of instruction is not published, so confirm it before applying if you are moving from abroad. You should also check entry requirements for your qualification, whether any language test is needed, and what documents are required for visa and registration.

  6. How it compares

Azerbaijan has 32 universities, so this institution is one of a fairly small national group. Its main distinction is that it is a public medical university in Baku, which makes it relevant if you are specifically looking for medicine rather than a broad multi-subject option.

Written from this university's catalogue entry and its cited encyclopedia summary. Figures are only shown where the institution or a cited source publishes them — always confirm fees and entry requirements with the university itself before applying.
