Mrs. Hasna Abedin Scholarship (Proposed)

The Mrs. Hasna Abedin Scholarship (Proposed) is established in honor of the late Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of American International University - Bangladesh, Mrs. Hasna Abedin. Its stated purpose is strengthening higher education and concentration in specialization and research. The grant covers only tuition fees.

The scholarship is for postgraduate students only. It provides a 100% tuition fee waiver given to qualified postgraduate students every regular semester in Fall and Spring, subject to the number of slots declared by the Scholarship Committee. It is described as one per faculty.

Selection is based on the criteria listed for postgraduate students. A recipient must have a CGPA of 3.8 and above, no grade below B+, and must be a regular full-time student with full credit and 12 credits with no semester gap. The student must also meet the certifications and activity requirements, and must not be a recipient of any scholarship or financial assistance provided by the university or any other organization.

Renewal of the grant every regular semester is subject to maintaining the CGPA and the other criteria prescribed above. The number of available slots can affect who receives the scholarship, as declared by the Scholarship Committee.
