10% Merit Scholarship

Metropolitan University awards merit scholarships to attract and retain good students and provide need-based financial assistance to facilitate education of poor but meritorious students. Under the merit scholarships at the entry level, candidates who meet specific GPA criteria receive tuition fee waiver benefits for the stated number of years.

The 10% Merit Scholarship at the entry level is for candidates securing GPA 9 in SSC and HSC. It is part of the entry-level merit scholarship awards that apply based on the stated GPA bands.

Scholarship applications are invited one week after the publication of results of each semester, with a submission deadline of two weeks from the date of announcement. Academic results are verified and signed by the respective Heads of the Departments, and funds are disbursed in three installments directly to recipients’ bank accounts.

For scholarship recipients, scholarship payments depend on continuing studies (if the four-year program is not yet completed). Merit scholarship awardees cannot qualify for the family concession (siblings or similar benefits). Further scholarship forfeiture conditions apply if disciplinary violations lead to disciplinary action or disciplinary violation findings during the scholarship period.

• 10% Merit Scholarship: 10% tuition fee waiver for four years.

1. Submit a scholarship application during the application window when applications are invited one week after publication of the results of each semester.
2. Ensure the application is submitted by the submission deadline, which is two weeks from the date of the announcement; no applications are accepted after the deadline.
3. Have the academic results of the applicant verified and signed by the respective Heads of the Departments.
4. Maintain an active bank account, as scholarship funds are disbursed in three installments directly to recipients’ bank accounts.
5. Continue studying if the four-year program is not yet completed to receive scholarship installments.
