Chairman’s Scholarship

Metropolitan University awards merit scholarships and need-based financial assistance to attract and retain good students and support poor but meritorious students. The Chairman’s Scholarship is one of the scholarship options for eligible students, with payments made to recipients’ bank accounts.

To qualify for the Chairman Scholarship, students must achieve a GPA of 4.00 out of 4.00 in all subjects over three consecutive (four-months) terms. The scholarship is limited in eligibility across a four-year programme and requires continued study to receive installments.

Selection depends on meeting the stated academic, disciplinary, and administrative conditions, including restrictions on retakes, supplementary exams, drop in study, and receiving other scholarships. Scholarship funds are disbursed in three installments, and recipients must maintain an active bank account to receive payments.

• Chairman Scholarship recipients receive Tk. 1,500 per month for one year, along with a certificate.
• Scholarship funds are disbursed in three installments directly to the recipients’ bank accounts.

1. Wait for scholarship applications to be invited one week after the publication of the results of each semester.
2. Submit the scholarship application within two weeks from the date of the announcement.
3. Ensure the scholarship application is not submitted after the deadline, as no applications are accepted after the deadline.
4. Have academic results verified and signed by the respective Heads of the Departments.
5. Maintain an active bank account to receive scholarship payments.
