Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship

Metropolitan University offers merit scholarships to attract and retain good students and need-based financial assistance. Under its merit scholarship options, the Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship provides monthly payments to eligible students who meet performance and conduct requirements.

The Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship applies to students in Metropolitan University’s full-time regular programmes. Students must meet the specific grade pattern requirement across three consecutive terms and remain eligible under other scholarship and enrolment conditions.

Selection depends on academic results and eligibility checks. Students must meet the required GPA and grade conditions over the specified set of consecutive terms, and they must not have retake or supplementary exams, drops, disciplinary issues, additional tuition waivers, or other external scholarships that would make them ineligible.

For the Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship, recipients receive Tk 1000 per month along with a certificate. Scholarship funds are disbursed in three installments directly to the recipient’s bank account, and recipients must continue their studies (if they have not completed the four-year programme) to receive installments. If the recipient is found guilty of a disciplinary violation or becomes subject to disciplinary action during the scholarship period, the scholarship is forfeited immediately.

1. Applications for scholarships are invited one week after the publication of the results of each semester.
2. Submit the scholarship application within two weeks from the date of the announcement; no applications are accepted after the deadline.
3. After submission, applicants’ academic results are verified and signed by the respective Heads of the Departments.
