The Bachelor of Technology – Sustainability at Mohawk College is a three-year applied degree that equips graduates with interdisciplinary knowledge, technical expertise, and hands-on experience in sustainable technologies. Students study sustainable technologies such as renewable energy, sustainable building design and operations, and resource management, alongside project management, policy, regulations, and research.
Mohawk College delivers core technical knowledge through hands-on learning experiences, including instructor-led labs in the Joyce Centre for Partnership and Innovation. Students also complete lab experiences focused on geographical information systems, work through immersive case study simulations across sectors such as energy, government, manufacturing, agriculture, and alternative energies, and complete a capstone project. The program also includes a work experience term.
Graduates are prepared to work with engineers, planners, architects, and environmental technologists, and Mohawk College states the program is designed for sustainability roles that require interdisciplinary skills. Mohawk College also notes it is currently not offering this program.
