Master of Information Systems Assurance Management

The Master of Information Systems Assurance Management (MISAM) at Concordia University College of Alberta is designed to help students lead at the intersection of technology, finance, and organizational governance. The program focuses on how information systems support accountability, compliance, and organizational decision-making, following the ISACA model curriculum and best practices.

MISAM is offered in-person at the Edmonton campus or via synchronous online learning. The program supports full-time study or part-time evening options. Students study risk-based information systems auditing, governance frameworks, disaster recovery planning, incident investigation, and security assurance aligned with recognized international standards.

Prospective candidates are expected to have a background in both technology and accounting/finance. You may be required to take additional courses as a probationary student in the program if you do not have all of the MISAM prerequisite courses but are otherwise admissible.
