Education - Consecutive at Lakehead University is a Bachelor of Education program for people who have already completed a three- or four-year undergraduate degree. Students complete a set of common core courses and then additional curriculum and instruction courses based on their chosen division: Primary-Junior or Intermediate-Senior. Core courses include Education 4350 and Education 4351, plus division-specific options such as Education 4353, Education 4354, and Education 4355.
The program includes hands-on student teaching placements. Bachelor of Education students participate in 105 days of in-class placement over two years. In the Primary-Junior division, the PPOD stream places students in an off-campus setting one day per week to cover course material and develop practical teaching abilities. The program is offered at the Thunder Bay and Orillia campuses at both Primary-Junior (JK–Grade 6) and Intermediate-Senior (Grades 7–12) levels.
As a first-year student in the Consecutive Education program, you must have already completed a three- or four-year undergraduate degree.
