Dr. Franco J. Vaccarino President's Scholarship - University of Guelph

The Dr. Franco J. Vaccarino President's Scholarship is the University of Guelph's undergraduate entrance award for international students. It was established in honour of the University’s eighth president, Dr. Franco Vaccarino. Two scholarships are awarded to the top international students for Fall, and the scholarship is valued at $42,500.

The scholarship is for international (VISA) students who are entering the first semester of any undergraduate degree program at the University of Guelph. Applicants must have submitted an application for admission and have a valid U of G student ID number. Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada are not eligible regardless of current country of residence or international school credentials.

The scholarship invites students with an outstanding academic record who have made significant contributions to their school and community. Applicants must also demonstrate innovative and unique approaches to implementing change and/or bringing about improvements to life, and show the greatest potential to be future leaders.

• Must have submitted an application for admission and have a valid U of G student ID number.Must be an International (VISA) student.Must be entering the first semester of any undergraduate degree program at the University of Guelph.Must not have previously attended a post-secondary institution.Must have at least an admission average equivalent to a 90.0% Canadian curriculum.Must have made significant leadership contributions to their school and community.Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada are not eligible for this scholarship regardless of current country of residence or international school credentials.

• Scholarship valued at $42,500.Summer research assistantship position.Mentorship by one of the University's leading professors.Guaranteed first-choice preference residence for first year of study (residence deposit must be made by the residence deposit deadline date).
