Ryerson University Ted Rogers MBA Black Graduate Leadership Awards

The Ted Rogers MBA Black Graduate Leadership Awards were developed to support domestic full-time or flex full-time Black graduate students pursuing their studies at the Ted Rogers School of Management. These awards recognize demonstrated leadership and community involvement and are intended to alleviate some of the financial burden associated with graduate education.

Eligibility requires candidates to be Canadian citizens, landed immigrants/permanent residents, or protected persons issued a Protected Persons Status Document (PPSD), and to have been accepted to the Ted Rogers MBA Full-Time or Flex Full-Time MBA Program. Candidates must also self-identify as Black.

Selection uses weighted criteria that include providing a 500-word statement outlining leadership and community involvement and showing the financial impact of the award, plus a sign-off on declaration.

Up to three (3) $10,000 awards are available for the academic year, with funding made available to eligible students in the Fall/Winter/Spring terms. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis past the first consideration deadline based on funding availability.

• Up to three (3) awards of $10,000 each
• Funding provided in the Fall/Winter/Spring terms (for eligible students)

1. After a student has been accepted into the MBA program, complete the Ted Rogers MBA Black Graduate Leadership Awards form (PDF), including the 500-word statement and declaration.
2. Scan and send the completed form to [email protected].
3. Use the subject line “Ted Rogers MBA Black Graduate Leadership Award”.
4. Submit by the January 19, 2026 first consideration date. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis past the first consideration deadline based on funding availability.
