University of Saskatchewan Scholarships for International Students

The University of Saskatchewan (USask) offers USask Entrance Scholarships to recognize academic achievements of entering students. USask Entrance Scholarships are valued at $5,000 and are awarded to 600 high-achieving entering students each year, with funds intended to be applied to tuition and fees.

Students entering direct-entry degree programs are considered automatically for these awards. Eligibility for automatic consideration applies after you apply for admission and submit your transcript and other admission documents, if you are a current high school (secondary) student planning to come to USask after graduation, or a student who has already graduated from high school (secondary) with little or no previous post-secondary education (less than 18 transferable credit units).

USask Entrance Scholarship consideration is automatic after admission application and document submission. Scholarship offers are sent by email to both the personal and USask email address on file starting in late April, and successful candidates must accept the offer by the deadline listed in the email.

After accepting the offer, the scholarship is applied directly to the student’s account for payment of tuition and fees by mid-September, provided the student is enrolled in a minimum of 18 credit units in the Fall and Winter Terms (September to April) and arranges for the final, official high school transcript to be sent directly to USask.
