Beijing Normal University Chinese Government (CSC) Scholarship

The University Program (Type B–Chinese University Program) is designed to finance the study of talented international students in China that are directly recommended by designated Chinese universities, with Beijing Normal University as the agency. The support categories cover undergraduate students and graduate students, with scholarship funding duration corresponding to the length of the major study as determined at admission. Instruction language for the program is Chinese or English.

Applicants apply to Beijing Normal University through the relevant application route. Applicants must apply between November and March. The scholarship coverage includes tuition, free university dormitory or an accommodation subsidy, a stipend, and comprehensive medical insurance. Beijing Normal University directs applicants to the Application Guide for Chinese Government Scholarship for details of each item.

Beijing Normal University reviews application documents and decides nominated candidates. Nominated candidates receive Chinese Government Scholarships to study in China with approval of the CSC. If a scholarship recipient has multiple offers, CSC decides the host university, and each scholarship recipient will be granted no more than one scholarship. Scholarship recipients are not allowed to change host university, field of study, or duration of study stated on the Admission Letter after arriving in China.

Scholarship funding duration corresponds to the length of the major study as determined at admission. CSC scholarship recipients require annual evaluation. Students who pass the evaluation are qualified for scholarship in the next year. The scholarship will not be reserved if a recipient cannot register before the registration deadline, and qualification is withdrawn if the recipient fails the physical examination after registration.

1. Follow BNU admission information for international students and prepare application documents. Complete an online application through the “BNU International Student Application System” (https://international.bnu.edu.cn/).Read the Instructions for Chinese Government Scholarship Information System.
