China Agricultural University Silk Road Scholarships

This scholarship is offered as a Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS) program for China Agricultural University admission under the “Silk Road” Program (Type B). Its stated coverage includes tuition, on-campus accommodation (double room), a living allowance, and insurance. International travel expenses are self-afforded.

Applicants must be citizens of Belt and Road countries and apply to master’s degree programs (for which applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35). It includes specific master’s majors listed by China Agricultural University, with teaching languages shown for each major.

Selection is based on the published eligibility criteria, including citizenship, health, academic background, and English proficiency. Applicants submit required application materials through China Agricultural University’s application system and the CGS information management system, choosing “Type B” during the CGS online application.

1. Visit China Agricultural University’s application system at http://apply.cau.edu.cn/ to log in, fill in personal information, choose the major, and submit the required materials; pay the registration fee of RMB 400 yuan (not refundable).
2. Complete the online application procedure at the CGS Information Management System for International Students by visiting http://www.campuschina.org and clicking “Application Online” to log in.
3. Submit the completed Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship online.
4. Upload/sign and submit the scanning copy of the signed Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship to http://apply.cau.edu.cn.
5. When applying for scholarship online, choose “Type B”.
6. Enter institution code 10019 during the scholarship online application.

• Scanned copy of passport (passport expiration date must be later than December, 2026; applicants without passports will not be accepted)
• Visa information (only required for students in China)
• Notarized final degree certificate or pre-graduation certificate
• Official transcripts (if not Chinese or English, provide notarized Chinese or English version)
• Certification of English proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL, certification of a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree taught in English, or other materials proving English language proficiency)
• Study/work experience (updated to the application date)
• Study plan in English or Chinese (no less than 1000 words)
• Two reference letters (in Chinese or English) from two professors or associate professors with signatures; letters must include the reference’s signatures and positions/titles (no fixed format)
• Foreigner Physical Examination Form (photocopy), downloadable from http://www.csc.edu.cn/uploads/forms/foreinphy.pdf
• No criminal report (issued by the public security department)
• Published academic papers, patents obtained, or other research achievements (photocopy or original)
