Harbin Institute of Technology China Link Scholarship

Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) explains that the China Scholarship Council (CSC) established the China Link Scholarship Program to deepen academic friendship and mutual understanding between Chinese and foreign young generations, and to build a platform for international exchanges and cooperation of young talents. The program supports international students and faculty members hoping to engage in academic and research activities in China.

The program scheme includes two funding categories: General Scholar for enrolled undergraduates or master students, and Senior Scholar for enrolled doctoral degree students or faculties. The duration is 1–12 months. Teaching language is English or Chinese. Study and research fields cover all disciplines other than Chinese language study.

HIT states that applicants must be citizens of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, have good moral character and academic excellence, and be in good health. Applicants also must be registered as a full-time student or employed as a full-time academic staff at CSC’s foreign partner universities at the time of application and throughout their proposed stay in China, and must have received either a pre-admission letter or an invitation letter issued by HIT. HIT also requires that applicants use the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System to complete the CSC online application and upload documents.

HIT states that successful applicants receive a full scholarship from CSC during their stay in China, including tuition, on-campus accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance, and a monthly stipend. The monthly stipend amount is CNY 3,000 for general scholars and CNY 3,500 for senior scholars.
