Introduction

Architectural Design is a Semester 1, Semester 2 Bachelor program taught at University of Queensland, Australia. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (3 Years (or part time equivalent)) options.

The University of Queensland’s Bachelor of Architectural Design combines design studio learning, expert teaching, and a focus on social and environmental impact. You study how buildings, places, and urban systems shape how people live, work, and connect, while responding to challenges such as climate change, housing affordability, and urbanisation.

You start in the studio from your first semester. Your later years include more complex design projects, and you graduate with an industry-ready portfolio. UQ provides industry-standard facilities, with work that includes prototyping, fabrication, modelling, and visualising design ideas, plus field trips and study tours in Queensland, Japan, and India.

This program can prepare you for roles in architecture, design, and the broader built environment, or it can lead into accredited postgraduate study toward professional registration as an architect or urban planner.
