Diploma in Personal Support Worker
Introduction
Personal Support Worker is a Diploma program taught at Algonquin College, Canada. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (1 Year) options.
Algonquin College’s Personal Support Worker Ontario College Certificate prepares students to work as frontline care-providers. Students learn to engage with persons and families of various ages and health-related needs, and to support healthy living through daily personal care needs such as nutrition, bathing, dressing, toileting, and household management.
The program is delivered full-time and organized into two semesters. It includes clinical field placements in healthcare settings, where students integrate theoretical principles into practice. Coursework includes professional communication, lab skills for activities of daily living, professional practice, dementia care and mental health, palliative care and end of life, and health conditions, plus supervised clinical placements and a consolidation placement.

Admission Requirements
The minimum requirements for admission in Personal Support Worker at Algonquin College for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:
