Bachelor's in Philosophy
Introduction
Philosophy is a Bachelor program taught at Canadian Mennonite University, Canada. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.
Philosophy at Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) studies philosophy as both the traditional “love of wisdom” and a modern search for general theoretical explanations. CMU frames the work around questions such as “What is real?”, “What can I know?”, and “What should I do?”. It also includes an ongoing task of rethinking the idea of philosophy itself.
CMU’s Philosophy BA examines the philosopher’s desire for explanations and explores philosophies as ways of life. Special attention is given to how these ways of life relate to the church. The program approaches philosophy historically and contextually rather than as a series of answers to abstract theoretical questions.
