Students apply knowledge in areas such as mechanics, electricity, automation, and programming, including through lab facilities with robot equipment and an industrial “usine-laboratoire” unique to Québec for students in this programme.

The programme leads to a bachelor’s degree in engineering (B. Ing.). ÉTS Montréal states that graduates can work in roles such as production engineer, automation engineer, and robotics engineer, as well as in consultation or engineering project management. ÉTS Montréal also states that the programme prepares students for further graduate studies such as a master’s degree or possibly a doctorate.
