Bachelor's in Chemistry
Introduction
Chemistry is a Bachelor program taught at Redeemer College, Canada. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.
Redeemer University offers Chemistry as a Bachelor of Science degree. The program is available as a major and as a minor. Students study chemistry topics and build skills through first-year courses that provide foundational knowledge across multiple science disciplines, followed by courses such as Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry: Enzymes and Metabolism.
Chemistry includes lab work in many classes, including CHE-121 and CHE-122, which each include a bi-weekly three-hour lab. The Core Curriculum is a set of 10 courses that every student takes and is woven through every major. Learning also extends beyond the classroom through field trips and experiences connected to the Creation Care Studies Program.
Redeemer’s Chemistry program provides knowledge and relevant skills for alumni careers as pharmacokineticists, lab technicians, medical researchers, food scientists, optometrists, pharmaceutical researchers, toxicologists, DNA analysts, nurses, and professors. Alumni can also pursue further studies such as MSc in Chemistry, MSc in Pharmacology, MD, MSc in Environmental Microbiology, and MHSc in Bioethics.
