Bachelor's in Arts, Media + Culture
Introduction
Arts, Media + Culture is a Bachelor program taught at Trinity Western University, Canada. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.
In TWU’s Arts, Media + Culture program, students explore arts connections and issues of faith and meaning while investigating boundaries across their disciplines. SAMC is an arts, media and culture degree with course combinations in art, film, and music, giving students options across those areas.
The major can be configured by choosing 2 or 3 areas of study from art + design, film studies (media + communication), and music. With 2 areas, students complete a concentration (30 s.h.) in each.
With 3 areas, students complete a concentration (30 s.h.) in one area, a minor (24 s.h.) in a second, and 6 s.h. in the third. SAMC 420 (London and Paris Travel Study) is highly recommended in the summer and counts as an IDIS 400 equivalent/substitute for core requirements.
