Introduction

Liberal Arts is a Diploma program taught at Vanier College, Canada. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (2 years) options.

Vanier College’s Pre-University Liberal Arts program is an Arts and letters program that covers history, philosophy, religion, literature, and the principles of mathematics and the natural sciences. Students study how these disciplines connect through key themes, concepts, and questions, building analytical reasoning and reading, writing, and oral communication skills.

The program length is 2 years and is designed on a classical Western education model. It uses a seminar-like format with small class sizes and encourages participation in debate and workshops. Students also strengthen their knowledge through outings to museums and theatres in Montreal and elsewhere.

Vanier’s Liberal Arts program is designed to prepare students for advanced studies in a wide range of domains. Graduates go on to pursue law, political science, communications, English, education, psychology, sociology and more, and it prepares for university programs with an Academic Advisor for prerequisites.
