Introduction

Master of Engineering (UAS), Other or Unknown Technology is a Masters program taught at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Finland. Intake: autumn, spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (1 year) options.

The Master’s Degree Program in Smart Industry is a one-year interdisciplinary programme at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. It focuses on advanced technologies such as AI, data analytics and cloud solutions for smart and sustainable industrial processes.

The curriculum combines professional studies and a Master’s thesis. Students study Cloud Engineering, Data Analytics and Optimization, Applied Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, and Leadership and Project Management, then complete a thesis on a practical smart industry challenge. Teaching is in English and the programme uses campus lectures, online sessions, independent study and assignments. It is designed to be completed alongside full-time employment.

The programme has two professional profiles: one for students with an engineering background and one for students with a degree in laboratory services. The thesis is the main opportunity for specialisation.
